SHOULD I WEAR REFLECTIVE RUNNING CLOTHES WHEN RUNNING?

DOES REFLECTIVE CLOTHING WORK DURING THE THE DAY?

WHY ARE REFLECTIVE CLOTHES IMPORTANT?

Yes. You should have reflective gear on each side of your body, preferably 360° of reflective material. If a driver is passing by with their headlights on in dark conditions when you are wearing reflective clothing you are much safer and more visible. Studies have shown depending on the type of reflective technology used (3M) runners can be visible to drivers up to three times farther wearing reflective than just wearing white. At Reflector, our brand stands for promoting runner and athlete safety.

Not really. Reflective clothing will not have the same bright reflection during the day. There may be occasional pops of silver that may catch the daylight and shimmer, but reflective material shows up best to the drivers in the dark.  If you are looking for better visibility when running it's suggested that you have fluorescent colors that contrast with the background you typically run in.

High visibility (hi-viz) clothing including reflective clothing is important in multiple areas such as running, cycling, and safety work. Wearing reflective clothing is a signal that the users are concerned with their health and safety. Often reflective clothing helps protect people from hazards on the road. It's important to wear reflective to help reduce the risk of accidents.

REFLECTOR'S REFLECTIVE DESIGN AND SAFETY

Heat Press

Utilizing heat press graphics generally lasts longer than conventional iron-on graphics and often times longer than screen printing.  At reflector, we use 3M graphics for our reflective designs so they have high visibility standards. The application of the product allows for us to be creative in the designs we bring to market but we serve a niche clientele base because of it.
Heat pressing allows for a consistent end product, by having a mini production line assembly process. There are no random areas with ink bleeding out or not enough ink in a certain area. Heat pressing allows for small batches and personalized attention to detail.

3M Reflective

3M is responsible for creating the industry standard in safety and hi-vis safety products.  Products from them use Scotchlite™ Reflective Material to offer high visibility when illuminated by a light. For our purposes, we design our reflective graphics so they are placed in areas that can be spotted by oncoming lights. These technological advances help our breathable, lightweight shirts double as running apparel and reflective clothing.

Bright Colors

Standing out when running or biking is very important. Whether you are going through a neighborhood or a city, distractions for drivers can be everywhere. Colors like pink, yellow, lime green, bright orange, bright red, and bright blue are advantageous in getting noticed. We always recommend trying to stay safe and be visible with reflective clothing and bright colors during low-light hours.
There is even a little bit of research showing that wearing bright colors helps your mood.
